(Triticum aestivum); Heritage - Centennial; Soft White Winter; Awnletted; a Michigan Connection variety; a New York State Connection variety; Fall-planted; Minimum 50 seeds

According to Ag Bulletin 1074, U.S. Department of Agriculture Issued November 8, 1922; revised August, 1923, Goldcoin was the second most grown wheat variety in Michigan in 1919 planted on 133,500 acres to comprise 15.1% of the acreage sown. We are quite excited to grow this centennial soft white cultivar on our southeast Michigan homestead over 100 years later.

Goldcoin was developed in 1890 in New York State by I.M. Green. Medium dense clavate spikes thresh freely by hand.
