(Cicer arietinum); Bush habit; Kabouli type; Minimum 20 seeds.
With its tall, feathery foliage, Chickpea of Spello's plants are a gorgeous addition to any garden. As the season progresses its numerous white flowers give way to plump pods on the undersides of its branches. I've grown Chickpea of Spello for several seasons, but this is the first year I've successfully outwitted my furry neighbors for an appreciable harvest. Seeds are a kabouli type, larger and less wrinkled than the typical desi types and just as flavorful in recipes.
