(Secale cereale); Minimum 1 ounce of seed
We've been growing this cereal rye for several years on our Michigan homestead. Seed stock is selected every generation by choosing the biggest, well-filled heads that catch our attention. The remaining heads are ground into flour to make rye bread.
Currently retired from our growing schedule. Because rye pollen is carried by the wind, we can only grow a single variety of rye each year. Our current focus is Sangaste and Danko Rye.
