(Pisum sativum); Climbing pea; Hyper-tendril variety; an Ohio Connection variety; Multi-use: edible pod, shelling, soup pea; Minimum 20 seeds
From the gardens of an Ohio seed saver, Magnus is a delightful variety with its frizz of hyper-tendrils (no leaves.) Delicate pink flowers mature to 2 inch pods that are enjoyed as a flat snow pea or later as a plump shelling pea. Its finely speckled beige dry seeds are sweet, meaty pantry staples. A mid-season maturing variety in our southeast Michigan garden when direct seeded late May.
