Miami Green Spotted Squash
(Cucurbita moschata); Heirloom; a Michigan Connection variety; Hand-pollinated; Minimum 15 seeds
It is said this variety named for the Miami people indigenous to Michigan and the Great Lakes region, was also grown by the Potawatomi. In our gardens the vines have a medium sprawl and are only moderately productive. Typical of moschatas, the plants are not bothered by vine borers and are late in maturing. Fruits have moist flesh well suited for baked treats or casseroles.
