Miami Green Spotted Squash
(Cucurbita moschata); Heirloom; a Michigan Connection variety; Hand-pollinated; Minimum 20 seeds
It is said this variety named for the Miami people indigenous to Michigan and the Great Lakes region, was also grown by the Potawatomi. In our gardens the vines had a medium sprawl and were only moderately productive. Typical of moschatas, the plants were not bothered by vine borers and were late in maturing. Fruits have moist flesh well suited for baked treats or casseroles.
