(Vigna unguiculata); Climbing variety; Dual use: fresh or dry; an Ohio Connection variety; Minimum 20 seeds
We have the Hendricksons of Ohio to thank for this vigorous true black-eyed cowpea named for their Italian friend. Vines that easily reach 8 feet are prolific producers of slender plump 8 inch pods that are great as snaps. Allowed to dry on the vines, the pods zip open to reveal 12-14 plump seeds awaiting use in a cold weather comfort dish.
