Yes, not I know it's not a Great Lakes regional variety, but I have family in the Northeast so in addition to its unique appearance, Succotash's Narragansett heritage inspired me to grow this hearty bean. It is said that the bean featured prominently in the creation of early recipes of the traditional dish aptly dubbed Succotash. Plump pods matured later in the season on vines that were on the sparser side foliage-wise.
