Emmer was one of the first crops to be domesticated in the Near East.  It was widely cultivated in the ancient world. On a homestead scale, the hull is difficult to remove.  Highly ornamental, many people grow emmer for decorative use.  This variety has been selected for its white color.

    Package sizes:

    • 10 grams of seeds in hulls
    • 50 hand selected seeds in hulls

    On our homestead, we do not yet have a method of consistently crack the hulls for making flour. 

    For reference, 100 seeds with hulls weighs around 3.5 grams.
