A pre-1940 landrace from the Stalden Guggisberg region of Bern, Switzerland, this spelt is reliably productive. Winter hardy plants easily reach ~66 inches and tiller well. As is with our other hulled grains, Guggisberg Spelt isn't troubled as much by birds or animal predation. We originally sourced our seeds from Vermont Seed Steward Sylvia Davatz, retired founder/owner of Solstice Seeds.
