While not considered a staple crop, the versatility of tomatoes means we do value them in our gardens. I am slowly making additions to our tomato collection, primarily a result of time spent over winter browsing various seed catalogs that identified varieties with ties to our Great Lakes region, or highlighted a "gap" in our culinary preparedness.
