(Celosia argentea); Minimum 30 seeds
An excellent example of a crop widely valued for its nutritional properties elsewhere on the globe, Lagos Spinach works as a "guerilla garden" crop that wouldn't incur a fine when grown in an HOA restricted yard. Highly ornamental, its leaves rich in protein and carbohydrates are a good source of the important nutrients calcium, iron, and phosphorus. Truly versatile, Lagos Spinach also has anti-inflammatory and other medicinal properties. A gorgeous "plant it and forget it" plant, it tolerates poor soil.
Lagos Spinach features in recipes such as this one for Efo Riro.
