Early maturing, this red flint corn has ties to New York State. Medium height plants produce ears that range from 7.5 to 8.5 inches long. New York Red's hard red flint kernels make a tasty cornbread and polenta when ground for cornmeal and offer an interesting option for distillation. In our ever increasingly unpredictable growing seasons, its early maturity is what prompted inclusion in our inventory.
