Our Versatile Cowpeas
Cowpeas (Vigna unquiculata) are invaluable pantry staples - low-maintenance plants produce an abundant supply of seeds that are nutritional powerhouses. Even the leaves are edible! Typically grown in warmer climates, these cowpea varieties reliably produce in our Michigan gardens.
