So what's a bean that comes from Peru doing in our inventory? It's a "good eatin' bean" that fits perfectly with our "Love to Eat Love to Grow Grow to Eat philosophy." A relatively early maturing dry bean, compact bush plants tolerate close spacing and yield productively their long, slender pods that average 6 seeds per pod. The yellowy beans are meaty, mild in flavor so as not to overpower a dish yet buttery and creamy enough to be richly satisfying as the star of a dish - think amazing refried beans and dips!
