(Triticum.vavilovii) Fall-planted; Awned; Minimum 25 seeds
A species genetically separate from common bread wheat, Vavilov Winter Wheat is named for Nikolai Vavilov (Nov. 1887 – Jan. 1943), the influential Soviet agronomist dedicated to the improvement of wheat and other cereals essential to global food production. Including Vavilov wheat in your cultivation plan increases the resilience of your grain harvest under ever increasingly unpredictable growing seasons. Vigorous plants are winter hardy.
