(Hordeum vulgare var. nudum); 6-rowed; a Kusa Seed Society Collection cultivar; Awned; Hull-less; Spring planted; Minimum 50 seeds
An exceptionally rare food barley from Japan, Dango Mugi is unique in that its golden brown grains are glutinous. Glorious 6-rowed awned heads top the numerous tillers of this hearty variety. Robust plants are very prolific in our southeast Michigan gardens, with spikes that ripen all at the same time.
