An heirloom variety maintained for generations within a Michigan Mennonite community and named in recognition of the Shirk Family's loving stewardship. Prolific 4-foot vines produce an abundance of small-podded snow peas that are best when picked young. If allowed to dry on the vines. the dry peas are hearty soup peas.
