Harsens Island Bean

Great flavor and hearty texture with a Michigan connection - Harsens Island Beans, a green bean sourced from Karen Golden of Michigan Heirlooms. She received seeds from a friend who was gifted the seeds from their Italian neighbor who has grown these beans on Harsens Island for many, many years from his own saved seed. Vigorous vines climb 3-4 feet and produce pods 6-10 inches long. Not stringless but when eaten when the pods are still flat, the suture strings aren't tough.
