Released in 1948 Viglasska is a Czechoslovakian bread wheat. Its large non-shattering heads are awned which seems to deter the birds. Its straw resists lodging and breakage. Viglasska has a special place in our hearts as Scott's family on his mom's side is from Czechoslovakia.
