Emmer was one of the first crops to be domesticated in the Near East. It was widely cultivated in the ancient world. On a homestead scale, the hull is difficult to remove. Highly ornamental, many people grow emmer for decorative use. This multi-generational line has been selected for hulls that are white in color.
Please use the drop-down menu to select between packet sizes, minimum:
a) 50 hand selected seeds (in hulls)
b) 5 grams (in hulls)
On our homestead, we have yet to master a method for consistently crack emmer's hulls to making flour.
For reference, 100 seeds with hulls weighs around 3.5 grams.
