Aptly named Grappolo d'Inverno, which means winter bunch, the primary role for this variety is as a winter keeper tomato that provides both a morale and a culinary boost in the kitchen on chilly days long after summer's sun passes. Pleasingly plump, these little grape tomatoes also satisfy as a tasty fresh snack. Plants are robust, becoming absolutely loaded with clusters, and do best with strong support.
The off-the-vine fruits shown were harvested early August from plants transplanted early May - the photos were taken October 13th!
