Isolating Tomatoes and Peppers for True-to-type Seed Harvest
With the wonderful and expansive varietal diversity of tomatoes and peppers, it is challenging and discouraging to limit oneself to just a couple when intending to harvest true-to-type seeds. Thankfully, it is relatively easy to create a true-to-type seed stock so we aren't faced with such dilemma. The simplest way is to plan your garden to isolate varieties by distance; but if you are looking to save seeds in an already blossoming garden, you can protect blossoms from unwanted cross-pollination by bagging them with something like an organza bag.
