(Triticum turgidum.dicoccon); Hulled; Awned; a cultivar from the Anpetu Oihankesni Collection; Facultative - fall-planted
Our original stock comes from John Sherck who sourced his from the late Colorado Seedsman Anpetu Oihankesni. Gorgeous awned spikes adorn robustly strawed plants that demonstrate good winter hardiness.
This is or fall-planted line, however, John successfully grew it in the spring as well.
Hulled kernels require de-hulling before culinary use.
