We were gifted these beans at the 2023 Goshen seed swap by Carla Yoder who shared these beans date back to the early 1900s and were mostly grown in the Goshen, Nappanee & Middlebury Indiana areas; she grew them in southern Marshall county, IN.

Productive vines yield an abundance of medium sized pods that shell out an average of 5-6 plump beans just in time for winter's soup season.
