One of the first edible-pod soybean varieties we grew after returning from China, Shirofumi has never disappointed. White flowers on sturdy bushy plants that reach 36 inches give way to plump pods tasty as maodou / edamame. Depending on weather, we've picked fresh pods mid-to-late August through early September.
* Our original stock seed came from a source who guarantees GMO-free status and our gardens are many, many miles from commercial soybean growers.
