A very robust triticale developed in Skåne län, Sweden by the Swedish Seed Association (Svalvo), its northern latitude genetics (nearly 59°N!) suggested its suitability for our more "southerly" conditions. We weren't disappointed! Dense oblong spikes protected by awns thresh easily of their grains. Strong of straw, plants reach 50" / 125 cm and tiller productively.
