Distinct from common wheat cultivars, Velino is a club wheat (also known as hedgehog wheat or cluster wheat) developed by Nazareno Strampelli of Lazio's Stazione di Granicoltura. It was entered into the USDA grain collection in 1947. Velino's characteristically dense elliptical clavate spikes are eye-catching in our grain plots and are easy to hand thresh.
Limited quantity - only 1 pack per person. I will only ship one pack and will refund the additional packs. Why the limit? To allow as many growers as possible to enjoy this cultivar.
