One of the first edible-pod soybean varieties we grew after returning from China, Shirofumi has never disappointed. White flowers on sturdy bushy plants that reach 36 inches give way to plump pods tasty as maodou / edamame. Depending on weather, we've picked fresh pods mid-to-late August through early September.
